Wade Atherton
Deal Team Director
Wade is a Director at STS Capital Partners, where he serves to support the firm’s deal team in North America. He is an accomplished mergers and acquisitions specialist with over a decade of experience facilitating mutually beneficial solutions for organizations engaged in their business activities.
Throughout his career, Wade has worked across a wide range of industries such as digital technology, renewable energy, chemicals, medical research, and healthcare. His educational and professional experiences have taken him to numerous countries around the world, including the United States, South Korea, Hong Kong, India, South Africa, Germany, and France.
With his extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, Wade has played a pivotal role in facilitating the sale of numerous companies while providing valuable technical accounting support to ensure the success of these organizations during the transition phase.
Wade established his early career supporting companies in project management and business development roles. He then transitioned his focus toward finance-related roles, having previously served as Senior Financial Analyst for Unity Health Toronto, Director of Finance for Michael Smith Health Research BC, and Director of Finance for Digital Technology Supercluster, a not-for-profit organization where he notably leveraged his expertise to secure funding for more than 70 organizations for a total value of over $300 million.
Wade’s educational background includes a master’s degree in economics from Kyung Hee University in South Korea and a master’s degree in business from Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in Germany. To complement his qualifications, he is a certified management accountant (CMA) and holds Lean Six Sigma certification, demonstrating his commitment to delivering efficient and effective solutions.
