Brenda Jacobsen is an experienced M&A advisor to CEOs and business owners preparing for an exit with a proven track record of exceeding market valuations by finding the right strategic buyer. She has helped businesses achieve high growth and navigate disruption through cultural evolution with a focus on human capital development and wellbeing.
Within her career as CEO and M&A advisor, Brenda has 25 years experience which ranges from strategic acquisitions of privately-held companies and corporate carve-outs to selling to strategic buyers with deal experience up to $500M.
Brenda is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and currently serves on the Global International Board of Directors for YPO. In addition to her global board judiciaries, Brenda speaks on topics relating to corporate M&A with an emphasis on selling to strategic buyers.
Brenda joined Mindful Communications as President after leading the successful merger of Life Cross Training, Inc. with Mindful.org, diversifying the audience and increasing shareholder value.
Previously, Brenda was the first CEO of Life Cross Training (Life XT), where she transformed the company from a B2C to a B2B model, focused on corporate wellness, secured funding, and developed a mobile app through a revenue share partnership with Deloitte. .As the leading member of the Life XT Board of Directors, Brenda assembled and formalized a board that included independent board members.
As CEO of Lakeside Occupational Medical Centers (LOMC), Brenda maximized revenue despite regulatory challenges, introduced culture-changing incentives, and restructured staffing to leverage nurse practitioners and physician assistants LOMC became the largest privately-owned group of occupational medical clinics in the U.S., achieving record revenues and best-in-class EBITDA margins. Brenda orchestrated the strategic sale of LOMC to U.S. HealthWorks, and remained with U.S. Healthworks to provide continuity for employees and clients and to ensure a successful transition.
Brenda holds an MBA from the University of South Florida, a BA from the University of Florida, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois. Brenda is currently based in Chicago.
