Andrew has deep expertise in technology, food, alcohol, consumer-packaged goods, health care products, sports management (NHL, NBA, MLB, F1, ICC, FIS, IOC) and many other sectors. He is a relentless innovator who thrives on tackling complex projects and developing creative breakthrough solutions.
His career background spans an array of senior marketing leadership positions with major multinational corporations.
Andrew’s career includes his role as Vice President Marketing for Molson Breweries in Canada, where he led the highly acclaimed and very influential “I Am Canadian” campaign which is considered one of the greatest marketing campaigns in the country’s history. Serving as Global Vice President Marketing for LG Electronics in Seoul, South Korea, he engaged teams in major regional offices (New York, Sao Paulo, Dubai, Singapore, London, San Diego, Shanghai) to support operations in more than 45 countries, many of which he worked in.
He was VP Marketing for Samsung Electronics in Canada with responsibility for strategic vision, advertising, PR, retail initiatives, online/social, CSR and sponsorships. For three years he was Vice President/Chief Integration Officer for J. Walter Thompson with responsibility for advising senior client leadership at Shell, Birks, Mayors Jewelers and HSBC on both marketing and strategic business initiatives. He also served as a marketing director for Pillsbury Canada, and a brand manager for Procter & Gamble Canada with responsibility for several leading consumer products.
As in independent consultant with his firm, Barrett Group Inc., Andrew held key roles with major brands seeking to launch dramatic breakthrough initiatives, including Biogen-Idec, Canadian Tire, General Motors and Cisco, as well as supporting startups like Surgically Clean Air, Rentmoola and Clickfree.
Andrew has been recognized by Canadian and international industrial communities with several awards for being a leading marketer, including Strategy Magazine’s Marketer of the Year award in 2008, Marketing Magazine’s Top 10 Marketer of Year award in 2012, and the Canadian Media Innovation Awards “Best of Show” Campaign in 2014.
He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, with a degree in Honors Co-op Business Administration.
