Vijay’s global career spans early-stage venture investment, peer networks, and multi-generational family businesses. He began his entrepreneurial journey at Tirathrai Holdings, a family-owned conglomerate, where he rose to Executive Director, leading retail, manufacturing, and property development operations across Asia. ​

His founding of Headstart International established him as a pioneer in the consumer goods space, building a leading brand in bicycle safety helmets. A founder and investor, Vijay launched Satoosh.vc during the early 2000s tech boom and later founded the Fabulous Group, which introduced the concept of Association Management Companies in Asia – spanning corporate conferences, communications strategy, and investor relations.

In the Middle East and North Africa, Vijay served as the Managing Director and Regional Head of MENAPT at Techstars, the world’s most active early-stage investor. During his seven-year tenure, he led investments in over 70 companies, and spearheaded landmark partnerships with Mubadala, Hub71, Saudi National Bank, and the Ministry of Communications and IT in Saudi Arabia, driving innovation ecosystems across the region. ​

Today, Vijay advises high-growth companies and funds at the frontier of AI, fintech, and infrastructure, including Dapple (AI Private Cloud), Klaim.AI (healthcare fintech), and Crestbrick (hospitality and real estate). He also serves as a strategic advisor to Techstars globally and to the Scholar of Finance in the U.S., reflecting his lifelong commitment to leadership development.​

As the Founding Chair of TIGER 21 Dubai, he convenes ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) to explore investment, philanthropy, and legacy strategies. In 2015, his passion for nurturing leaders at scale led him to serve as the Global CEO of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), where he oversaw a peer network of 18,000+ entrepreneurs in 200+ cities worldwide. He previously served on the global board of EO between 1997-2005 and led the organization as Global Chairman in 2003. A former Young President Organization (YPO) Global Board Member, Vijay has also held numerous leadership roles in the world’s foremost peer-to-peer CEO organization.​

He is a recipient of the Global Leadership Award by The Brand Laurette (2025) and Global Entrepreneur Person of the Year Award (2003) and a respected voice in entrepreneurial and venture capital networks.​

Vijay holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Richmond University (UK) and completed executive education at Stanford University. ​
