Peter Kaju
Director
Peter Kaju is a Director at STS Capital Partners, serving to support our deal team in North America. He is an accomplished business and technology executive who specializes in growing businesses and maximizing shareholder value. In his prior roles, Peter was directly involved in the strategic exit of several businesses across a variety of sectors.
The foundational years of Peter’s career were spent at global companies including KPMG, Roche, Warner-Lambert, and Pfizer. Peter was most recently the CEO of Carta Worldwide, a leading SaaS global payments processor, which he sold at a 9x revenue multiple. He started at Carta as CFO and drove the achievement of monthly EBITDA positive results for the first time in the company’s 10-year history.
Prior to Carta Worldwide, Peter was the CFO of one of the largest privately held digital media agencies in the world. He led the financial and legal aspects through the completion of 3 acquisitions and 2 joint ventures, which grew the agency from a North American to a European enterprise. Peter was also the CFO and co-founder of DisclosureNet, a company specializing in search engine solutions that served B2B clients. He optimized financial operations and people processes leading to improvements in profitability. He ultimately negotiated the successful sale of the business to a strategic VC-backed investor at a high multiple.
Additionally, Peter was the CFO of eLearning SaaS technology services provider Embanet, where he led the financial and workforce strategy of the company. Peter realigned the growth mandate to become an investment opportunity and was instrumental in negotiating the successful sale of the business to strategic buyers at a high multiple.
Peter believes in lifelong learning and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), a Certified General Accountant (CGA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and he is an Institute Certified Director (ICD.D) by the University of Toronto.
