Mauro Schnaidman

As a Managing Director at STS, Mauro leverages his international mindset, approachable style, and strategic insight to guide founders, family business owners, and CEOs through the complexities of exits, helping them navigate both the financial and emotional dynamics of transition.

Mauro’s career has spanned leadership roles with respected consumer brands, participating and playing a pivotal role in many large and medium-sized M&A transactions during his tenure at Sara Lee, Jafra Cosmetics, including selling, buying, and spinning off companies in Europe, Latin America, and the United States. As Global CEO of Jafra Cosmetics International, he revitalized the century-old business, repositioning the brand, overhauling R&D, expanding into new markets, developing digital infrastructure, and fostering a high-performance, innovation-driven culture. During his tenure as President of Sara Lee Southern Europe, Mauro doubled the company’s size and profits, delivering market-disrupting growth by restructuring operations, modernizing the brand portfolio, and building strategic retailer partnerships. Earlier, he held senior executive positions at Revlon, PepsiCo, and Unilever in Latin America, where he led market share gains, revenue acceleration, and key acquisitions.

In parallel to his executive career, Mauro had previously served on public and private boards, including Tupperware Brands, Hinode Group, and currently serves on the Dinastia Holdings Board (consisting of over 80 companies) in Brazil. He advises emerging and established ventures through roles on the Advisory Board of Approvely, as a Senior M&A Advisor with global investment boutiques, as a Mentor and Panelist for Endeavor, a global non-profit supporting over 2,000 high-impact entrepreneurs, and personal mentor to over 100 entrepreneurs. A longstanding member of YPO, Mauro actively contributes to board initiatives within the network.

Mauro holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Maua de Tecnologia in São Paulo, Brazil, and is a Master’s Degree candidate in Psychology at Harvard Extension School in Boston, USA. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and is the author of the bestseller “Who Said You Can’t Change the World? Building a Career with Purpose,” published in Brazil and the United States.
