Matt Verbin
Director
Matt Verbin is an M&A consultant with over 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors, overseeing finance, operations, IT, legal, HR, and business intelligence.
His journey has seen him spend six years in Big 4 accounting for many industries, focusing on external and internal audit, forensic accounting, and commercial litigation. He worked on several rewarding engagements, from helping distribute the $5 billion Victim’s Compensation Fund to families affected by the 9-11 tragedy to investigating multi-billion-dollar white-collar business crimes.
Matt has since worked in software, technology, transportation, infrastructure, aerospace, and e-commerce, with a decade at the COO and CFO level. He has had financial responsibility for $600M+ annual revenue with thousands of global employees and helped consummate M&A transactions, including a recent strategic sale in the mid-9-figures. With his versatile background as an operator, Matt is well-suited to identify and convey the value of clients’ businesses to the fullest extent, helping to achieve optimal sales outcomes.
For his work as CFO for EY Holdings in 2015, Matt received an award from
Financial Executives International as Arizona’s CFO of the Year in the large privately held companies’ category.
Matt has two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Arizona in Accounting and Finance. Additionally, he holds a master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
