Mark Roth is Managing Director & Strategic Advisor of Operations Excellence at STS Capital Partners, where he provides strategic guidance across the firm’s operations to help ensure consistent client engagement outcomes and support the delivery of Extraordinary Exits™ through strong processes, performance alignment, and operational excellence.​

With more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across M&A, strategy, and operational excellence, Mark brings a disciplined, execution-focused approach to value creation. He has led complex M&A transactions, managed cross-functional deal teams, and advised boards, executives, and investors across both publicly traded and privately held companies. Known for combining strategic vision with hands-on operational leadership, Mark helps organizations professionalize, scale, and execute sustainable organic and acquisition-driven growth initiatives.​

As founder of GuidePath Capital, LLC, Mark has advised private equity firms and portfolio companies across agriculture, technology, infrastructure products, and industrial sectors. In this capacity, he acted as executive sponsor on platform investments and carve-outs, led diligence and value creation planning, and partnered with management teams to drive operational improvements, cash flow optimization, KPI discipline, and profitability.​

Previously, Mark was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy at Astec Industries (NASDAQ: ASTE), where he led global strategy, M&A, and capital allocation initiatives. Working closely with the CEO and board, he helped architect the company’s transformation strategy, built an in-house corporate development function, executed acquisitions and integrations, and played a key role in launching Astec’s digital platform through targeted technology acquisitions.​

Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Corporate Development & Treasurer – Executive Officer of Lindsay Corporation (NYSE: LNN). He led global strategy development, M&A, treasury, and corporate finance. Through organic growth and acquisitions, he helped drive a fourfold increase in both revenue and market capitalization. His responsibilities included board-level strategic planning, investor relations, global banking relationships, debt financing, and risk management across multiple continents.​

Mark began his career in investment banking and corporate banking, working in M&A advisory and senior credit analysis roles, where he developed a strong foundation in valuation, deal structuring, and financial analysis.​

He holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska.​
