Liesl Oosthuizen
Senior Legal Counsel
Liesl Oosthuizen is an experienced lawyer who joins STS as legal counsel and brings an innate skillset in corporate, public, and private M&A, and equity capital markets law.
Her journey as a strong legal professional started at Tier 1 law firm Bowmans Inc. in Johannesburg, South Africa. She joined Bowmans as a Candidate Attorney and worked to become a Senior Associate in Corporate/M&A during her tenure. She oversaw mergers and acquisitions (buy and sell-side), general commercial, company secretarial, corporate governance, corporate restructurings, and due diligence.
Liesl has extensive experience in project management, third-party advisor coordination, public securities offerings, and pre-listing statements on various deals with organizations such as PepsiCo, Inc., Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited, and PPC Ltd.
Liesl received a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Cum Laude and a BSc in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from Stellenbosch University. She also participated in the International Exchange program in International and Comparative Business Law from Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany.
