Jim Harrington is a Director at STS Capital Partners, where he applies his focus on supporting the North American deal team. He is a dynamic and result-oriented executive with a distinguished career across various industries within the consumer-packaged goods sector, including food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, distribution, and holds experience in the gaming and hospitality sector.

With his roots in major food corporations like ConAgra and Nestle Waters, Jim honed his skills in continuous improvement principles and gained substantial experience in buy-side mergers and acquisitions. Jim has applied his extensive operational and financial expertise to elevate mid-market companies. His strategic leadership has been pivotal in guiding these organizations to realize the full potential of their value-driving mechanisms. Known for his remarkable turnaround successes, Jim’s work with private equity portfolio companies and his guidance, which led to several triumphant exits, are testaments to his proficiency and commitment. At the core of his professional values are enthusiasm and integrity, which have earned him the trust and respect of internal and external stakeholders. Jim’s strategic approach is characterized by his specialties in change management, developing best practices, and driving operational excellence through key performance indicators and metrics. His proficiency in managing P&L responsibilities, enhancing asset utilization, and negotiating beneficial agreements has consistently produced improved results for the organizations he’s been a part of.

Jim is the CFO of Allied West Paper Corporation, where he’s been instrumental in securing financing and guiding the company through significant turnaround. In addition, he plays a vital role as the City Treasurer of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, contributing significantly to the city’s financial transparency and oversight. Jim’s commitment to community service is evident in his past role as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Rancho Cucamonga Community & Arts Foundation, where he supported arts programming and resource management. His tenure at the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District highlights his dedication to environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. His academic background is supplemented by a diverse range of professional qualifications, including being a CPA (inactive), a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
