The Team That Makes Extraordinary Exits™ Possible

Jeff Massone

Senior Advisor

Jeff Massone is a versatile project management and operations leader with 20 years of experience driving complex, cross-functional initiatives across global pharmaceutical and consumer health organizations. As a Senior Advisor to STS Capital Partners, Jeff leverages his long-standing relationships within the life sciences industry to introduce founders and executives who may benefit from STS’s Selling to Strategics™ approach.

Jeff Massone

Across his career, Jeff has led programs spanning the full drug development lifecycle, new product commercialization, IT system transformations, and enterprise capability-building. He is known for turning ambiguous, high-level strategies into clear execution roadmaps – aligning diverse stakeholders, establishing governance, and building the processes, tools, and teams required to deliver predictable outcomes. In the M&A and integration context, Jeff’s strength lies in de-risking execution: clarifying decision rights, preserving momentum, and ensuring organizations can realize intended synergies without compromising culture.

Jeff currently serves as Senior Director of Medical Affairs Project Management & Operations at Kyowa Kirin, where he rebuilt the project management function, elevated departmental performance, and unified Medical Affairs leadership around a shared strategic direction. Previously, at Johnson & Johnson, he accelerated Phase 2 and Phase 3 development timelines across high-value compounds and co-led the design and rollout of the Site Engagement Model, which set new industry benchmarks in clinical trial enrollment.

Earlier roles include leading digital medicine programs at Otsuka, overseeing global commercialization initiatives at Bayer Consumer Healthcare, managing large-scale product launches and portfolio processes at Merck, and driving operational improvements at Patheon. Throughout these positions, he has directed budgets up to $100M, managed global cross-functional teams, modernized systems and workflows, and contributed to major product divestitures, new revenue lines, and accelerated regulatory filings.

Jeff holds an MBA from Rutgers Business School and a BS in Animal Science from Rutgers University. He is PMP and CPM certified, a Maxwell Leadership President’s Advisory Council member, and the recipient of multiple innovation and leadership awards from Bayer and Johnson & Johnson. He remains active in his community through board service and mentoring emerging professionals.
