The Team That Makes Extraordinary Exits™ Possible

Eric Mass

Director

Eric leads M&A transactions across diverse sectors and geographies as a Director at STS Capital Partners, where he has spent over fourteen years working with executives, founders, and boards to craft and deliver compelling business cases to strategic buyers. His role encompasses new business development, market and trend analysis, financial modeling, and mentoring of team members, ensuring clients receive top-tier strategic insight and transaction support throughout the deal process.

Eric Mass

Eric’s career is grounded in a distinctive combination of institutional risk leadership and hands-on financial and commercial operating experience. Before joining STS, he served as Senior Manager of Risk Assessment at Sallie Mae, a Fortune 500 financial services company, where he led risk assessment for major corporate initiatives including M&A, funding strategies, and operational restructuring during a volatile period that included the 2008 Financial Crisis.

Prior to Sallie Mae, Eric served as Finance Director at Metier, Ltd., a SaaS & Consulting firm serving blue-chip corporates and government agencies, where he provided strategic financial leadership, managed government and commercial contracts, and oversaw pricing and profitability analysis.

He began his career as an Analyst at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), the world’s largest corporate governance and proxy advisory firm, advising institutional investors on mergers and acquisitions, capital structure changes, equity compensation, and director elections.

Eric holds an MBA from the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School (with Distinction), and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Finance from Marymount University. He is a recurring guest lecturer in M&A and Valuation at the University of Oxford and is a board member & advisor for an international perinatal mental health organization.
