DAVID PEDROL

Managing Director

David Pedrol is a global entrepreneur, executive leader, and M&A advisor with more than 25 years of experience helping companies scale, expand internationally, and achieve successful liquidity events across Asia-Pacific. As an STS Managing Director who has founded and led multiple high-growth businesses across Greater China and Southeast Asia, he brings a founder's perspective and deep transaction expertise to business owners seeking to maximize value and achieve Extraordinary Exits™.

David is best known for leading the growth and ultimate exit of YesMyWine, which became China’s leading wine e-commerce platform with more than six million members and €70 million in annual revenue. He identified the strategic acquirer, led due diligence and negotiations, and helped structure the company’s acquisition by Googut Wine & Spirits in a transaction valued at approximately $140 million. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with founders, investors, venture capital firms, and strategic buyers, providing firsthand insight into the factors that drive premium valuations and successful transactions.

Beyond M&A, he has built and operated businesses across some of Asia’s most dynamic markets. As founder of Winetobe and GoDrinks, he pioneered multi-country beverage e-commerce platforms serving customers across Southeast Asia and Greater China. David has also held senior executive leadership positions spanning China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Japan, leading large-scale commercial expansion initiatives, securing growth capital, and developing strategic partnerships with organizations including Alibaba and AS Watson Group.

He was recognized by Decanter Magazine as one of the “27 Most Important People in the Wine World” for his contributions to the industry and his role in transforming beverage distribution across Asia. 

Committed to creating lasting impact beyond business, David has established and funded five Food & Beverage education schools across Singapore, the Maldives, Hong Kong, China, and Indonesia, providing underprivileged students with pathways to meaningful careers and long-term economic opportunity.

David holds a Master’s degree in International Commerce and Marketing from ESMA Barcelona and a Master’s degree in Viticulture, Enology and Wine Marketing from the UNESCO-affiliated International Social Science Council. He also holds qualifications in Applied Corporate and Business Law. A member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) since 2013, he leverages a global network of entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders to support exceptional transaction opportunities worldwide. 

He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and is conversant in Mandarin Chinese and Indonesian.
