David Chen is a seasoned entrepreneur, global executive, and strategic advisor with over 30 years of experience building, scaling, and leading technology-driven ventures across Fortune 500 corporations and high-growth companies. As Senior Advisor, David leverages his network to introduce business owners to STS Capital Partners and offers expert guidance throughout their journey toward an Extraordinary Exit.

He is also Founder and General Partner of West Mountain Ventures, providing strategic advisory services, fractional executive leadership, and angel investment to venture-backed companies and universities, consistently identifying multimillion-dollar growth opportunities, and facilitating transformative partnerships. 

David’s entrepreneurial journey includes founding and scaling NextWorth Solutions, guiding it from startup to industry leadership with multiple successful funding rounds and strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 retailers, OEMs, and telecoms. NextWorth was recognized twice on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies (#92 in 2012) and became the category leader in its industry. Throughout his career, David has successfully executed multiple exits, delivering exceptional returns to investors. 

In his corporate leadership role at Bose Corporation, he directed innovation assessment and partnership development initiatives, leading corporate incubation projects and developing frameworks for strategic startup alliances. His systematic approach to value creation has generated transformative outcomes across both entrepreneurial ventures and global corporations, with expertise in early-stage investment evaluation, retail strategy, AI-driven venture creation, and strategic brand partnerships. 

David maintains an active Seed to Series A portfolio across audio, health, sports, biotech, and consumer brands, where he leads deals, secures funding, and drives growth through strategic partnerships. He also advises Babson College on innovation and venture development and supports consumer brand scaling through the Commonwealth Kitchen incubator in Boston. 

David holds an MBA from Babson College (Hamilton Scholarship Recipient for Entrepreneurship) and a BA in Economics & East Asian Studies from Colby College, with Mandarin studies at Peking University. His board experience includes the Young Presidents Organization (New England Chapter), Consumer Technology Association Small Business Council, Maine Hut & Trails, and NextWorth Solutions. He is an active angel investor with TBD Angels, maintaining deep engagement in the entrepreneurship and venture capital ecosystem across the Northeast.
