Brenda Jacobsen
Managing Director
Brenda Jacobsen is an experienced M&A advisor and former operator with a proven track record of running, growing, and selling companies, including family-owned businesses. She has personally led transactions ranging from niche private companies to large-scale exits with deal experience exceeding $500M, including the sale of a family-owned business in the automotive luxury and supercar industry. Drawing on her dual experience as both a CEO and advisor, Brenda consistently helps business owners exceed market valuations by finding the right strategic buyer and structuring deals that align with long-term value creation.
With over 25 years of experience as a CEO and M&A advisor, Brenda has closed transactions across industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, and specialty consumer markets. She has held several executive and C-Suite positions and brings a unique perspective from the operator’s side of the table, enabling her to prepare owners for the realities of going to market. Currently, she is advising companies preparing for sale in private credit, healthcare, outsourced radiology, brand acceleration platforms, and safety equipment manufacturing.
In recognition of her leadership in the middle-market M&A community, Brenda received an Honorable Mention on the 2025 list of M&A’s Most Influential Women. This annual award honors women who have significant influence within their companies and the wider M&A universe, as well as an ongoing commitment to advancing the role of women in financial services.
Prior to STS, Brenda was the first CEO of Life Cross Training (Life XT), where she transformed the company from a B2C to a B2B model, focused on corporate wellness, securing funding, formalizing and assembling a board, and developing a mobile app through a revenue-share partnership with Deloitte. Brenda later joined Mindful Communications as President after leading the successful merger of Life XT with Mindful.org, expanding and diversifying the companies’ audiences and increasing shareholder value.
As CEO of Lakeside Occupational Medical Centers (LOMC), Brenda maximized revenue despite regulatory challenges, introduced culture-changing incentives, and restructured staffing to leverage nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Brenda grew LOMC into the largest privately-owned group of occupational medical clinics in the U.S., achieving record revenues and best-in-class EBITDA margins. Brenda orchestrated the strategic sale of LOMC to U.S. HealthWorks, and remained with U.S. Healthworks to provide continuity for employees and clients and to ensure a successful transition.
Brenda is an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and served on the Global International Board of Directors for YPO from 2022 to 2025. In addition to her global board role, Brenda is a sought-after speaker on corporate M&A, and resilience and mindfulness in the workplace (and their benefits to a company’s bottom-line).
Brenda holds an MBA from the University of South Florida, a BA from the University of Florida, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois.
