Beatriz founded BC4 Consulting, a boutique financial services consulting firm based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her tenure as the Fiscal Agent for the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico under Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla played a key role in overseeing public corporations and instrumentalities to maintain their financial stability.

This experience was complemented by over a decade at Banco Popular de Puerto Rico, where she excelled in various positions within the commercial credit and risk management departments. Her profound skills in originating and structuring commercial loans, managing distressed asset portfolios, and executing restructuring-related matters are a testament to her multifaceted expertise.

Beatriz’s leadership is characterized by her unique approach to tackling restructurings in the middle and corporate markets, where she has been instrumental in developing loss mitigation strategies that align with credit policy and regulatory compliance. Her exceptional handling of a $1 billion portfolio across healthcare, real estate, and public sector credits and her expertise in restructuring over $80 million under the FDIC Loss Share Agreement and managing over $21 million in Chapter 11 Bankruptcy restructurings underline her proficiency in maximizing recoveries.

Beatriz received a Bachelor of Science from Bentley University with a concentration in Finance and a Master of Science in Corporate Finance from the Elkin B. McCallum Graduate School of Business. She is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor, underscoring her deep understanding of financial restructuring and advisory expertise.
