ValueMax Manager

ValueMax is a unique STS process that helps our clients achieve an Extraordinary Exit. It is designed to support businesses in getting ready to sell to a strategic buyer, sometimes years, before their optimal timing exit (https://stscapital.com/value-max/).

The ValueMax Manager is responsible for working with Managing Directors and their clients on designing, implementing, and monitoring a customized ValueMax program, specific to the needs of the client. Additionally, the ValueMax Manager is responsible for maintaining current ValueMax supplier relationships and agreements, and developing, vetting, and negotiating with new suppliers.

This is an independent contractor role with a remote work arrangement. Most of the work will be undertaken in the North American time zone – despite STS having a global presence.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Develop and sustain relationships with ValueMax approved suppliers (including, but not limited to; wealth advisors, business coaches, tax specialists, capital raising firms, marketing firms, legal advisors)
  • Meet with and assess potential suppliers, negotiate standards and terms
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate ValueMax suppliers
  • Work with the Managing Director to design a customized ValueMax program for clients; make recommendations for the most suitable and aligned suppliers
  • Help negotiate with, set objectives for, and manage the relationship with, and oversee the performance of ValueMax suppliers on behalf of the Client
  • Support the Managing Director in regular ValueMax updates with the client and suppliers
  • Support corporate knowledge repository

The successful candidate has/is:

  • The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business
  • Previous exposure to project management value-add with responsibility leading projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • A minimum 5 years exposure in a consulting or project management capacity
  • Financial services experience (a plus)
  • The ability to work in a highly autonomous role
