Strategic Content Developer/Copywriter

STS Capital Partners is currently looking for an experienced and passionate Content Development Strategist. This is a full-time independent contract position, that requires a strategic and natural communicator with a strong copywriting background, coupled with Financial Services exposure.

Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Lead copywriting, design and support across the company.
  • Assist in conceptualization and brainstorming for campaigns, projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement content plans as well as manage the content calendar.
  • Work closely with analytics and community management teams to obtain community insights and trends, to develop strategic content.
  • Effectively communicate the brand positioning to deliver thoughtful and compelling content across marketing channels including: email campaigns, eBooks, social media, sales collateral, website, whitepaper/case studies and more.
  • Foster a spirit of committed teamwork.

  • Strong editorial and communications background across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to multitask and plan across a range of projects.
  • Solid time management skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and make things happen.
  • Very strong command of English language; writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to be firm in one’s beliefs on what makes great content.
  • Well-versed in digital content marketing best-practice and strategy including social media channels, websites, blogs, and others.
  • Intrinsically passionate about the power of content and content marketing, excited by delivering great work to clients, and be willing to go above and beyond, outside of the 9-to-5.
  • Creative storyteller.


  • Create clear and appealing communication of STS’s identity and brand story.
  • Ideation and research for content marketing.
  • Develop content across relevant channels to effectively communicate the strategy and/or marketing campaign.
  • Strong writing skills to ensure style is consistent and complicated topics are clearly explained to the audience.
  • Ability to plan and edit content to take it to the next level, including turning articles into infographics, generating increasingly interactive and personalized content.
  • Strong understanding of analytics; ability to compile reports on content performance for clients and present these to the business.
  • Manage content budgets and deadlines.


  • Manage content strategy for the business across digital platforms and channels to be aligned with overall marketing strategy.
  • Take briefs from business units, perform content audits and reviews and provide content strategy, across print and digital.
  • Constantly review the content marketing strategy and optimize for best results; ensure all content produced is insights-led and performance-based.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising and/or digital marketing, particularly in content strategy and creation
  • 3 years exposure within financial services preferred
  • Good understanding of audience and analysis of behavior
  • Ability to analyze data by providing insights
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to tie creative thinking to overall strategic and brand objectives
  • Brilliant organizational skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team
  • Naturally strong communicator
